My Art Is Walking With God

I didn’t start creating art to sell it.
I didn’t even start creating art to be an artist.

I create art because it’s how I walk with God.

In the middle of ordinary days—between work, responsibilities, worries, and unanswered questions—I’ve found that God meets me most often when I’m simply paying attention. Sometimes it’s on a morning walk. Sometimes it’s driving home. Sometimes it’s standing still when the light hits the mountains just right or the clouds open for a moment that feels almost too intentional to be random.

Those moments feel like little gifts. Like angels gently saying, “Look. This is for you.”

I don’t always feel spiritual in the traditional sense. I’m not perfect at scripture study. I don’t always have the right words in prayer. I don’t always feel like I’m doing enough or being enough.

But when I notice beauty—and I stop—and I really see it—that’s when I feel closest to God.

My camera (or brush, or sketchbook) becomes my way of saying, “Thank you.”
Thank you for letting me witness this.
Thank you for letting me feel this.
Thank you for letting me remember that You are here.

I try to capture what I see, but more than that, I try to capture what I feel. The peace. The awe. The quiet reassurance that I am not alone, that this world is still touched by something holy.

When I share my art with you, I’m really sharing my walk with God.

Not a polished walk.
Not a perfect walk.
Just a real one.

It’s my way of slowing down long enough to notice His fingerprints in everyday life—and inviting you to notice them too.

If even one of my pieces helps someone pause, breathe, feel hope, or feel closer to God… then my art has already done exactly what it was meant to do.

This is my worship.
This is my prayer.
This is my walk with God.
